I contacted my VA representative and when they realized that I was a Viet Nam Combat Veteran, I was accepted into a substance abuse and PTSD program at Bay Pines VAHCS. One day, I awoke in desperation and decided to take one more chance at sobriety. For the previous 8 years, I had been homeless and was living on the streets of Tampa.
